Department Chairperson Maria Kristina Gallego gave her plenary lecture at the event, “Advancing Education and Social Science Research through Community Engagement, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, and Evidence-based Policy Development,” held last 18 June and organized by the College of Education, Arts & Sciences of the National University – Manila campus.
Gallego has ongoing collaborations with the Ibatan and Bugkalot/Eģongot communities on the documentation of their languages, and was recently one of the workshop facilitators of “The Essentials of Language Documentation in the Philippines” as part of the 2025 CSSP Extramural Training Seminar for Social Science Teachers.
