UP Linguistics Centennial Celebration

The UP Department of Linguistics was established on 28 August 1922 and, from August 2022 to August 2023, we are celebrating the Department’s 100 years of dedication to the study, documentation, and promotion of Philippine language and dialects, and its commitment to teaching the national languages of our neighboring countries in Asia in order to promote mutual understanding and collaboration between the Philippines and other Asian countries.
