The UP Department of Linguistics is now accepting applications for full-time and part-time teaching positions for the Academic Year 2024-2025.

Qualifications:

• Has a degree in linguistics (if intending to teach linguistics courses)
• Has relevant proficiency and experience in teaching an Asian language (Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai)

• Transcript of records and diploma(s) of all degrees earned
• Updated and complete curriculum vitae with attached photo
• Three (3) recommendation letters from academic mentor and/or work supervisor
• Language proficiency certificate and other relevant certifications for those who intend to teach Asian languages

Full-time faculty members are expected to teach graduate and/or undergraduate linguistics courses, participate in committee work, conduct research projects, and render extension services.

Part-time faculty members are designated as “lecturers” and are considered non-regular, temporary members of the Department who are paid on an hourly basis.
