The Linguistics Special Lecture Series (LSLS) features talks by invited experts on various topics under the fields of theoretical and applied linguistics. For this fourth installment, Dr. Michael Barrie, professor at Sogang University, will give a talk on Altaic.
ABSTRACT
This practical workshop has two goals. First, to identify acoustic cues for major class of sounds, focusing on obstruents and vowels. Second, I will introduce a series of Praat scripts that can be used to facilitate data processing. Participants should bring their laptop with Praat installed.
