Cruz promoted as assistant professor

The Department is proud to announce the promotion of Noah Cruz to assistant professor status. 

Cruz recently obtained an MA Linguistics degree with his thesis, “Ang Pagtatasa sa Sigla ng mga Wika at Diyalekto sa Pilipinas: Kalagayan at Patutunguhan,” supervised by Assoc. Prof. Tuting Hernandez. A related work, “Malalimang Pagtalakay sa Dalawang Pangunahing Lápit sa Pagtatása sa Sigla ng mga Wika sa Pilipinas,” was published in the Daluyan journal last year. This paper has been given the UPD Student Publication Award for Exemplary Research and Creative Work. 

He currently serves as one of the undergraduate program coordinators of the Department, and is a member of related College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) committees. He was also an issue editor of Volume 02, No. 1 of the UP Working Papers in Linguistics (UPWPL).
