Department Chairperson Kristina Gallego went to Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya last 20 June for the collaborative dialogue between the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) and the Municipality of Ambaguio. The event was attended by the mayor, the chairperson of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of NVSU – Bayombong Campus, and members of the Kalanguya community.
The Department and NVSU has collaborated before on the extension project, “Developing a Community-Led Documentation Project for Bugkalot.” The possible community-led documentation of the Kalanguya language is currently being explored, which starts with the proposed Memorandum of Agreement with the municipality.
