
Assoc. Prof. Tuting Hernandez went to the University of Aberdeen in Scotland for the 17th International Congress of the Société Internationale d´Ethnologie et de Folklore (SIEF). It was hosted by the Elphinstone Institute for Ethnology, Folklore, and Ethnomusicology last 03 to 06 June.
Hernandez was one of the conveners of the panel on “Writing and Unwriting Rituals.” The panel “seeks to inquire new understanding of […] rituals based on experiences on the ground [and] by reading the unwritten text in rituals and in the peripheries of the accounts.”
