Asst. Prof. Jay-Ar Igno and Senior Lect. Maria Concepcion Loren Chua are Lead Editors to the latest volume of Dúnong: UP Diliman Journal of Student Research published by the UPD Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Also in the editorial team is a BA and MA Lingg alum, Associate Editor April Perez. Featured in the 3rd volume (2023) is Instr. John Michael Vincent De Pano’s article entitled “Linguistic Politeness in Tagalog and Japanese: Notes from Slam Dunk”. The volume will be launched on 12 December 2025 (3PM) at Vinzons Hall, UP Diliman.

The Dúnong journal is published annually in an open access format. It houses peer-reviewed research produced by students of UP Diliman. The 3rd volume of Dúnong features 13 articles that engage conversations on culture, memory, national discourse, language, identity, translation, digital culture, platformed selves, pedagogies, and everyday negotiations of gender, space, and self.
