Ilang Tampok na Katangian ng Ponolohiya ng Wikang Ayta Magbukun

Batay sa pinakahuling tala ng Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) International, ang Ayta Magbukun, na mayroon na lamang tinatayang 1,000 mananalita, ay kasalukuyang isa sa mga wika sa Pilipinas na mayroong pinakamaliit na populasyon. Nilalayon ng kasalukuyang pananaliksik na makapag-ambag sa limitadong mga dokumentasyon at pag-aaral sa wikang Ayta Magbukun sa pamamagitan ng pagtalakay sa ilang katangiang ponolohikal ng wikang ito. Partikular na tuon ng papel ang sumusunod na aspekto: mga segmental at suprasegmental na ponema, phonotactics, at mga morpoponolohikal na prosesong pinagdaraanan ng mga tunog. Upang maging komprehensibo ang ginawang pagsusuri, ginamit sa pananaliksik na ito ang mga metodong ginagamit sa acoustic phonetics, gaya ng paggamit ng mga computer software na Praat at JPlot Formants.

According to the latest report of the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) International, Ayta Magbukun, which has approximately one thousand speakers, is currently one of the Philippine languages with the smallest population. The present paper seeks to contribute to the limited documentation and studies on the said language by providing a brief discussion on some of the phonological characteristics of Ayta Magbukun. The discussion specifically revolves around the following areas: segmental and suprasegmental phonemes, phonotactics, and morphophonological processes. In order to provide a comprehensive analysis of the topic, methods commonly used in acoustic phonetics were employed in this study, such as the use of computer software Praat and JPlot Formants.
