“Historical Linguistics 2019,” which Department Chair Kristina Gallego co-edited with Bethwyn Evans (Australian National University) and Luisa Miceli (The University of Western Australia), has been published by the John Benjamins Publishing Company. It contains selected papers from the 24th International Conference on Historical Linguistics.
The book reflects presented research on computational and qualitative historical linguistics, and those which explore “interactions of change across linguistic domains” and “non-linguistic histories of language diversification.”
