Assistant Professor Isko Rosario is currently in Bali, Indonesia, serving as one of the resource speakers in the International Seminar on Entrepreneurship, Management, and Global Economy with Education Approach co-organized by Universitas Warmadewa and Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar. His presentation, titled “Amidst Tangled Tongues: Navigating the Challenges of Multilingualism in the Philippines” provided the audience with a brief overview of the multilingual situation in the country and showed how the demands of globalization and internationalization impact its language policies.
Just like the Philippines, Indonesia is a multilingual country with more than 700 languages. Its national language, Bahasa Indonesia, is one of the foreign languages offered by the Department.
