UPKRC and the Korean Women’s Association in the Philippines establish scholarship for UP students

UP Korea Research Center (UPKRC) OIC-Director Dr. Kyung Min Bae and the president of the Korean Women’s Association in the Philippines (KWAP), Ms. Hyun Joo Julia Lee, signed an agreement today, 12 December 2022, establishing a scholarship fund for Plan C-Korean majors and Korean Studies scholars at the University of the Philippines Diliman.

Implementation of the scholarship program will begin in A.Y. 2023-2024 and details on how to apply for the scholarship will be released by the UPKRC next year.

The KWAP hopes that this scholarship will help support and encourage students who will be specializing in Korean language and culture studies, as well as fuel their passion for promoting mutual understanding between Korea and the Philippines.
