UP Korea Research Center (UP KRC) in collaboration with members of the Department has published Philippine-Korea Ties: Ambassador’s Diary. This was authored by His Excellency Sang-hwa Lee, Ambassador of Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines, and the Department’s Kyung Min Bae and JM De Pano served as its editor and cover & layout designer, respectively. UP KRC’s inaugural director Dr. Eduardo Gonzalez wrote its introduction, and the book also includes special messages from four distinguished figures.
The book contains the writings of H.E. Sang-hwa Lee published in Philstar columns from 2023 to 2025, with the last column featured in the book being about the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Gyeong-ju, Korea. These columns provide information and insights about Korea-Philippines relations, not only in the present, but also historically.
