Assistant Professor Maria Kristina Gallego, the chair of the Department, along with heads and administrators of various UP units headed by UP Diliman Chancellor Fidel Nemenzo, met with Dr. Ekaterina Baklanova of the Institute of Asian and African Studies, Moscow State University, to discuss potential collaboration between the institutions. The meeting was held on 17 January 2023 at the Board of Regents Room, Quezon Hall.
Joining them were Vice-Chancellor for Community Affairs Luis Ma. Bo-ot; Dean of the UP College of Arts and Letters (CAL), Dr. Jimmuel Naval; CAL Associate Dean for Research, Creative Work, and Publication Eilene Antoinette Narvaez; Department of European Languages (DEL) Chair Nina Rachel Agcaoili, Departamento ng Filipino at Panitikan ng Pilipinas Chair Schedar Jocson, and DEL Assistant Professor Herman Bognot; Dean Henelito Sevilla, Jr. of the Asian Center; Director Ramon Guillermo of the Center for International Studies; Office of International Linkages (OIL) Diliman Director Carlene Perpetua Pilar-Arceo; OIL Program Development Associate (PDA) for Student Mobility Ronel Laranjo; as well as Deputy Director Noel Christian Moratilla and Executive Assistant Chynna Louise Riego of the UP System OIL.
