- Screen electronic communications quickly and effectively using client-developed guidelines on market abuse.
- Identify and escalate potential instances of market abuse.
- Participate in the 2nd line review of cases that may potentially be escalated to the client.
- Participate in the internal Quality Assurance process.
- Liaise with client teams on escalated cases, as necessary.
- Responsibilities will be carried out in the English and Cantonese language.
Experience
- Experience working as a translator or interpreter.
- Previous work experience in a similar control/risk function within a business is a plus.
Skills for Success
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Qualifications
- Must be proficient in English and Japanese.
- Degree in Economics, Business, or Law preferred.

Specifically, the Risk Management Analyst will
- Partner with the PWM business and control partners such as compliance and legal to establish the regulatory controls, governance framework and methodology to manage the risk of business.
- Perform daily supervisory and trade-based surveillance reviews to ensure adherence to firm’s policy and procedures.
- Monitor and identify internal breaches / control weaknesses and conduct investigations.
- Recommend corrective actions where needed.
- Prepare documentation to report and escalate to senior management any issues and exceptions highlighted.
Experience
- Experience working as a translator or interpreter.
- Risk, Compliance or Global Markets experience is a plus.
- Previous work experience in a similar control/risk function within a business is a plus.

Part of this role involves training models to detect and moderate texts that include violence, racism, sexual exploitation, and other harmful content. So, while this is important work, it requires work with triggering content on a day-to-day basis.

Education and Abilities

As a Language Specialist on our GenAI team, you will be joining a truly global team of subject matter experts across a wide variety of disciplines and AI engineers and will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities. This will include:
- Creating training data sets for AI models that will help improve its accuracy, fluency, coherence and/or voice
- Annotating data to help AI models align with human values
- Analyzing and improving the grammar, syntax, and sentence structure of both expert-generated training data and AI model-generated text to ensure it adheres to linguistic rules and conventions.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, researchers, and software engineers, to refine and iterate on the AI models.
- Contributing to evolving specifications for AI-model training and data recipes.
- Navigating a dynamic environment and adapting to shifting guidelines and flexible priorities.
- Achieve target KPIs, including daily job count, average handle time per job, and specified production hours
