At Amazon, we are looking to build a brand new HR shared services team in Manila to support Amazon’s growth globally. The hub will provide a multi-language capability to our internal customers and we are looking for HR Administrators to join our growing Shared Services team. HR Services teams will be driving to redesign the processes and tools for service globalization and infinite scalability, providing an innovative and frustration-free experience to our employees around the world. With the service hub being built in Manila, the team will provide instant and high quality services across APAC and the globe, to Amazon business, managers and employees. Services include but not restricted to employee transactional processes, such as job and personal data changes, letter generation, contract extension, and related activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process personal and job data changes with basic pay-impact; with high level of accuracy based on guidelines set for the country being supported
  • Generate letters and documents requested by customers
  • Meets the KPI goals set by the organization.
  • Communicates to process lead if there is a grey area in a process that needs to be resolved or documented.
  • Identifies and flags any process improvement opportunities to streamline the process if necessary, and adds ideas to ACES idea box, in coordination and alignment with process lead
  • Manages confidential and sensitive employee information and adheres to strict confidentiality standards.
  • Seeks counsel from a lead for any cases where a standardized response/resolution may not be appropriate, when they are not trained on the task, or if there otherwise may be a negative customer impact.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written Japanese
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with employees to explain and resolve queries and concerns. This could be via email, chat, or very rarely, calls.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Work, Outlook)
  • With at least 1 year of work experience in HR/similar role -Problem solver – able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary
  • With sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1+ years experience in HR Shared Services or in a related field
  • Knowledge of HR systems (PeopleSoft, OnBase, Oracle)
  • Proven analytical capabilities, comfortable working with large amounts of data and in developing metrics and reporting.
  • With project involvement experience

Job Qualifications
  • Educational Attainment: At least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Linguistics, Languages, Literature, Translation Studies, Philippine Studies, Journalism or other related courses is required. Those who have taken up a few subjects in translation (translation theories, Filipino translations, etc.) will have an advantage. For division-specific applications, graduates of relevant degrees (e.g. a Computer Science degree for IT Division applicants and a Legal Management degree for Legal Division applicants) and/or those with relevant experiences in their chosen fields will be primarily considered.
  • Languages: Applicants must be bilingual—highly fluent in English and a native speaker of Filipino/Tagalog; Knowledge in any other global and local languages will serve as an advantage.
